Alfred University’s School of Art & Design faculty and students celebrated in SUNY exhibitions showcasing artistic excellence
Alfred University’s New York State College of Ceramics School of Art & Design is proud to announce its talented faculty and students are featured in the State University of New York (SUNY) exhibitions celebrating excellence in the arts.
These exhibitions are open to visual art students at any of the 64 SUNY campuses and curated by a committee. These prestigious showcases bring together works that embody SUNY’s commitment to creativity, innovation, and artistic achievement across its campuses.
The exhibitions, held at various SUNY locations, including the Rockefeller Institute, the Chancellor’s Gallery, and SUNY Plaza, spotlight the unique contributions of Alfred University’s art community. Participating artists include a mix of emerging student voices and established faculty members.
Faculty members, and the title of their exhibited artwork, include:
- Dale Inglett, Associate Professor of Painting: Erupting Form, Bound
- Stephanie McMahon, Professor of Painting: Orange Crush
Students and the title of the exhibited artwork include:
- Feodora Lopez: Rope
- Mary Kato: Objects or Faces
- Erin Keating: Bedrot
- Justin Donica: Union City at Dusk
- Hana Otomo: Monuments
- Gina Colosimo: I inhale the ground and exhale this syrupy sickness
"Our faculty and students continue to represent Alfred University with incredible dedication and talent," said Lauren Lake, Dean of the School of Art & Design at Alfred University. “The SUNY exhibitions provide a valuable platform for Alfred faculty and students to engage with broader SUNY audiences and highlight the impact of their research and practice.”
The showcased works underscore the school’s emphasis on integrating traditional and contemporary techniques, research in materials and processes, and a commitment to excellence.
The SUNY exhibitions will run through November 2025, offering the public a chance to witness the depth and diversity of creative talent within the SUNY system.
