History News Network, a popular online source of essays and op-eds by prominent historians, recently published a piece penned by Gary Ostrower ’61, retired professor of history at Alfred University.

The essay—titled “Can the Ukraine Crisis Push the UN To the Reforms it Needs to Remain Relevant?”—was published Feb. 6 on the History News Network.

Ostrower earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Alfred University and taught at his alma mater from 1969 until his retirement in December 2021.
