APEX: Becoming a Business Leader
Justin, a senior Business Administration student, has taken multiple opportunities to lead and assist others in his college career, both in terms of academics and extracurricular activities. A member of the AU Saxons football team, Justin's worked with, coached or has been coached by roughly 180 players and coaching staff on and off the field throughout the year. He's also a natural leader and entrepreneur in his academics, having been granted an experiential learning internship in his senior year. According to Justin, "With the help of APEX, I have found even more to love about coaching."
Recently, Justin had another chance to put his motivational skills into action when he completed a coaching internship at Gaglione Strength in Farmingdale, NY. “This internship was nothing short of amazing. I knew this was what I wanted to do when I woke up every day excited to go back and push people a little harder to improve their lives.”
Justin believes he best excels when he can actively employ his leadership skills and work with others, so his post-graduation plans combine his strengths and interests. With support from a couple of his friends back in Long Beach, NY, and some collaborative efforts with people he’s met at AU, Justin plans to open his own fitness facility.
